చంద్ర గ్రహణం

A lunar eclipse (chandra grahan) happens at full moon, when the Earth passes between the Sun and the Moon and its shadow falls on the Moon. It can be total, partial or penumbral, and it is seen wherever the Moon is above the horizon at the time. Traditionally the sutak period begins nine hours before a lunar eclipse; the timings are worked out for your location.
