Vinchudo (Gujarati for scorpion) is the time the Moon spends in Vrishchika rashi (Scorpio). It is followed mainly in Gujarati and Kutchi panchangs, and comes about once every 27 days.
The Moon crosses a rashi in about two and a quarter days, so Vinchudo lasts around 54 hours. It begins and ends at the moments the Moon enters and leaves Vrishchika, which can be at any hour.
During Vinchudo, weddings, griha pravesh, starting a journey (above all to the south) and other new beginnings are traditionally avoided. Customs differ between families, so for a particular ceremony follow your own panchang.
This is traditional calendar guidance, not a guarantee of any outcome. Panchang traditions differ on these periods; for a particular ceremony, ask your family priest or follow your own panchang.
Times are worked out for the place you have chosen (India until you choose one). For the whole day at your place, open the daily panchang.
